Nanhall 50th Anniversary

Hayley Keyes

Nanhall has been a family run business since 1968. As a child Hayley was shown how to properly care, train, and groom all types of dogs and cats. Since her parents were AKC Professional Handlers, campaigning hundreds of dogs for clients, they trained, groomed, and provided boarding and daycare. Nanhall, Reg. Prefix, has bred over 150 AKC Champions in dogs such as German Shepherds, Schipperkes, Bouvier Des Flanders, Chows, and German Shorthair Pointers, just to name a few.

Now with many years of exposure, she has obtained several Master Certifications of Grooming Dogs & Cats, including Certification in teaching CPR & First Aid, Grooming Judge and Speaker. She is the owner and operator of Nanhall. She has bred and shown Lakeland Terriers and Chihuahuas and received the #1 AKC Owner/ Handler Lakeland in 2015 ~ "Gch Nanhall’s Koichi Hikel Terrydale" and the 2011 Top Stud Standard Poodle, "Ch. Nanhall’s Casanova DeMaya". As past President of IPG she traveled the country certifying and teaching groomers how to properly handle and groom pets. After resigning from IPG, she now teaches Pet First Aid & CPR Classes to children and the public, as well as one on one lessons with owners to train and groom their dogs. She finds time to help the SPCA, grooming many of their rescued animals so they can find a furr-ever home.

Fifty years ago, Fran and Hall Keyes moved from the Philadelphia area to Greensboro, NC. They arrived with a handful of championship titles and the desire to care for and train dogs full time.

Their hard work, dedication and love for animals has earned respect and proven to be the road to success.

That success has been measured solely by their accomplishments. Few professionals can match their range and depth of knowledge as well as their practical experience in so many aspects of dog field. Nanhall, and Nanhall's dogs, have appeared in periodicals, books, on television, as dog models and as speakers of a variety of subjects up to and including Dealing with Aggressive Dogs, Obedience and Grooming.

Our Story

We’ve loved every minute of our journey

Rachel White

As a young child, Rachel's love for animals grew.  At one time she thought about working with Wolves.  After visiting a wolf rescue, she knew her life needed to be with animals. When she graduated high school she decided she wanted to learn how to become a groomer.  She came to Nanhall School of Grooming and her career started! Now with 5 years of experience, CPR/ First Aid under her belt, and with her passion and genuine desire to learn she still continues her education.  She regularly competes in grooming competitions and her first time out she was awarded with the Best First Timers Group Win which was an honor winning over 15 other groomers!  She is Hayley's assistant with grooming and teaching students.  She loves to spoil her two dogs and now her new rescue cat!!
